I base my low cost bids two different ways: Interior Bids are based on SF of walls, Exterior Bids are based on Time and Material. Learn about quality products that last. We can discuss which Application, Color and Type of paint would be best for your project.
TIPS for Home Owners:
* There are different kinds of coatings, typically Oil -based Alkyd and Water Emulsion Latex. It was a custom to use Oil-based Alkyd paints well into the 80's, now the industry is mostly composed of Water based Latex. If a house has Oil-based Alkyd on its Interior/ Exterior surface (which the older homes often do here in Hawaii), then it is manditory to fully Prime with a sealer Primer before painting with the commonly used Water Emulsion Latex paint. If this step is skipped, its like the saying "Oil and Water don't mix", the paint will deffenantly peal. Have a professional check and advise on what product to use.
* To ensure a long lasting Exterior paint job here in Hawaii the house should be Mildew treated/ Washed once every 1-2 years with a maintenance to high UV areas. I include an annual free pressure-wash with every exterior paint job.
